Film Synopsis: First Draft
by Alex Sexton. under
Rob is one troubled youth. His mother fails to support him, and even herself, while she suffers a chronic alcohol addiction. Rob never even knew his father. After he is caught trying to shoplift from the local supermarket, he tries to make amends for his past, by trying to exhume himself from gang life. However the gang keep trying to pull him in. With promises of bigger and bigger things, the gang leader keeps offering Rob jobs, in order to keep him relatively pleased with his current position. Rob is then offered a job running drugs for a major dealer in the area. He accepts, although not pleased with himself in doing so. When the run goes salve, he tries to escape, and continues to go into hiding, barely coming out, only for essentials. He starts to miss weeks worth of college, and decides to get out.
He then meets Steph.
Steph offers to help him get out of the gang, but in doing this, ends up pulling the two even deeper into the already heated situation with Rob’s gang.
After spending several weeks with Steph, Rob decided that it’s time to leave. He packs a knife into his pocket, and proceeds to try to talk to the leader. However, after trying to reason with the leader, and the discussion becoming far more heated than he imagined, Rob pulls a knife.
However, “The Leader” pulls one too. The film finishes with Rob being stabbed.
After the stabbing, the leader and his companions proceed to run, and Steph stays with him. However, Rob bleeds to death on the pavement, before the emergency services can reach him.
